November - owie!

Finally, my throne!

My mommy is not so funny as she thinks she is. Grrr.

I highly approve of the christmas thing. A tree to chew on and pull little toys off, lots of boxes, and especially wrapping paper!

This is a human baby. She made interesting noises, and smelled interesting too, but was rarely still for long to explore.

Mommy has a special drinking fountain just for me.

December 15, 2007: This is a new cat baby who has apparently come to live with us. I do not like him much, but he doesn't seem to care when I growl at him. Mommy calls him Harun Al Rashid.

December 24, 2007: OK, so maybe it's not so bad to have a little brother :)

December 29, 2007: Mommy says I am not allowed to play in the back yard anymore, because she figured out that I can jump over this wall. It is just not fair!

January 11, 2008: Mommy likes to clean. I don't understand, but sometimes it's fun to help her - especially when it involves sheets warm out of the dryer that I can sneak under!

January 28, 2008: I get mad at Mommy because it seems like she's always gone during the day. She gets up so early that not even Rascal and I want to be awake! Usually I go sit in the shower and keep her company, but... every now and then I just really need some special snuggle time!

February 4, 2008: A while ago, Daddy put a bird feeder on the back patio. Lately, this means that my absolute favourite thing to do is to watch the bird show! They come right up to the window sometimes to taunt me, but I absolutely know I could catch one if Mommy just gave me a chance!

February 11, 2008: Today it was so nice outside that I convinced Mommy to let me go out and try to get involved with the bird show. But she makes so much noise! We managed to be so still that the birds came back to the feeder, but as soon as I got ready to make my pounce, the rest of the family came out and scared them all away again. But I'm going to keep asking for my chance!

February 21, 2008: One year old!

March 13, 2008: Sometimes, I still remember that I am a kitten and play so hard that I need a nap... wherever I happen to be!

March 18, 2008: Every so often, Mommy needs a nap too. Daddy was very surprised to see me being this cuddly!

April 30, 2008: Sometimes I seriously hate my Mommy. Plus, even if I secretly am a Ninja kitty I'm not going to just admit it!

May 9, 2008: I am a very helpful kitten. I especially like to help whenever Mommy does the laundry and makes the bed - it's so much fun to run around under the sheets when she puts them back on the bed!

May 9, 2008: Mom doesn't use her elliptical anywhere near as often as she should, but sometimes I do!

July 28, 2008: I caught the mouse! But I don't know what to do with it...

August 5, 2008: Mommy let me out to play in the back yard, and I got bit by something! It might have been a black widow spider... anyway, it made me very sick. Look at my poor leg!

So Mommy dragged me off to the vet, and the vet shot me up with three very painful needles and sent me home to rest with an ice pack. Poor Mommy had a hard time getting me to use the ice pack!

August 10, 2008: Mommy and Daddy are going away on a big trip! I don't like it when they do that, but I do like to help them pack!

October 10, 2008: The weather has cooled down, finally, which means that not only do Mommy and Daddy leave the doors open... sometimes they let me go out and explore. I am not so sure about that grass stuff right now - it keeps being wet - but there's lots of other trouble for me to get into!

Best toy: Mommy's hair-ties. Not sure why she keeps hiding them in the drawer though, unless it's just to make me get exercise...

December 24, 2008: There is a house full of people, paper flying everywhere from the presents, party mix being thrown about liberally... Fortunately, I have my quiet places to hide!

February 21, 2009: For my birthday, I got a new play-house. It's really good for spying on the evil BIRDS from...

February 22, 2009: One of these days, little birdies, one of these days...

July 1, 2009: I almost have the humans trained not to touch me when I am doing important things like sleeping, or holding down laundry. Sometimes, though, I really need to keep them on their toes... so I sleep on them. Tonight I made Daddy sit still for a whole hour not disturbing me!

November 2, 2009: I keep good watch over my house and humans... and sometimes over the other cats who come to visit!

April 25, 2010: I'm starting to get a little older and more mature... or anyway, sometimes I can be deceptively calm and sweet!

April 28, 2010: My most important job, of course, is to keep a close eye on Mommy! I help her sleep, too!
