Flight to Friday Harbor
Murray is the bestest pilot ever. I've been pestering him to take my flying since he got his pilot's license, so on Sunday April 11, he finally took my sister and I for an aerial tour of Seattle, and then on to Friday Harbor, Orcas Island, for ice cream.

Shiny!
Megan helped with the pre-flight checks, and did not put coffee in the oil tank.
Moving the plane out of its parking spot...
We took off over Airlift Northwest, which amused me, but of course the first important landmark was for Josh.
Obligatory proof that we flew over Seattle...
...and of course Green Lake. Megan's house is on the far left edge :)
The airstrip in Friday Harbor, just a little smaller than SEA-TAC :)
But what an adorable little town! We shopped for houses before finding ice cream.
Of course I had to find the fire station... the crew in Friday Harbor is mostly volunteer, and agree that the green engine is just not as class as the red ones.
...a gorgeous view of the island on take-off...
Our super-talented pilot :)
...who took a small detour before landing at Boeing Field just so that I could get a shot of AMR from the air. I did not, however, get a chance to bomb them with a devil duckie. Maybe next flight!
